I was invited to the Grand opening of the famous Fogo de Chao, Brazilian Steak house in San Francisco, California.
The best way to start out your evening is to try their signature Brazilian cocktail.
This Brazilian Restaurant is truly a unique dining experience. Upon being seated, a fresh basket of the most incredible cheese bread bites was served. They resemble mini popovers and are absolutely divine.
Next is a trip to the massive Market Table, which dominates the large dining room, it is continuously stocked while a steady stream of customers help themselves to dozens of fresh vegetables, salads, cold meats, salmon, all kinds of peppers and cheeses.
Imagine the chef who prepared the meat, passing through the restaurant with different cuts, stopping at your table and carving slices of these tender pieces of beef right onto your plate. A platter of garlic mashed potatoes, and crispy fried polenta sticks arrive at your table.
By flipping our coaster to the green side lets the staff of about half a dozen table-side carvers know we are hungry.
Both varieties of filet mignon were delicious, as well as the top sirloin, which is their signature cut. Juicy, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. We had multiple helpings of each.
After more helpings than I can count and multiple trips to the salad bar, we somehow had room for dessert. A delicious New York Style Cheesecake and a mango or papaya creamy panna cotta (pass on this one), was how we ended a lovely dining experience.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
Marlene
